Betsey J The Classic and Feminine Dotted Peplum

During winter, the only thing I wanted was for the weather to be a bit warmer. However, it seems I forgot about one major detail about living in Florida.

The intermediate seasons — spring and fall — are pretty much nonexistent. In one week’s time, the weather changes from freezing cold to scorching hot. The one week in the middle was pretty much the only bit of “spring” weather that we had here.

Now the weather is insanely hot, which is made worse by constantly walking around campus. As I was browsing online for some fun dresses to wear in this weather, I came across this amazing Betsey Johnson dress, and I knew I wanted it to be my next post.

Originally, my post for today was going to be something completely different, but I fell for this dress. In a way it is the quintessential example of my style.

The cap sleeves, the sweetheart neckline and the peplum all give this dress a hint of retro femininity exemplified in the 1950s fashion.

To add a hint of unexpected color to this dress, I would accessorize it with this Neon Striped Flat Clutch by Madly-yours. I chose this clutch, because I really love how the bright color seems to pop in the middle, and also I am always a fan of things that are handmade. While, I usually avoid yellow, I am really loving this neon color to add a touch of highlight to any outfit.
