If you are anything like me, getting/being lost is nothing new. There are people in the world that can go to a new place, and within a few days have their own map detailed out in their heads. I am not one of these people. In fact, I am quite the opposite, considering that I still need to use a GPS to get around the city, I attend college in.
So, imagine the surprise when I was able to navigate around the Parisian streets and metro system (without GPS), when I was there for the very first time a few weeks ago. You can bet I was extremely excited.
While we were in Paris, we visited the Forum des Halles, a shopping center, which is partially underground. As we were walking, my sister and my mom spotted this super cute clutch in the store window, and I knew that it was perfect for me.
First, I would say a clutch the boldly states “blog your dreams” is rather fitting for a girl who’s loves writing and blogging, especially when said blog is all about blogging her dreams of a life written in fashion.
Second, I have been obsessed with neon pink, and color blocking lately, both of which I have been wanting to incorporate into my closet, which was further proof that I needed this clutch in my life. (Admittedly, I might be looking a bit too much into it, but to me it is a clutch filled with symbolism.) Third, (as if I needed anymore reasons why this bag is perfect) I love that it is big enough to fit the essentials: phone, wallet, keys and a small jacket. (What? Don’t you always carry around a jacket with you?)
That being said, I was extremely happy to see that it would be able to make it’s debut today with this outfit.
Similar to my last post, this outfit is a mix of old and new pieces. I have had this skirt for a while, but honestly haven’t worn it in very often. However, I am so pleased with how it looks paired with this embellished tank, I am going to challenge myself to see how many more ways I can wear it. I really love that it is a tiered skirt, that has a ton of movement and is longer in the back, which gives it the high-low effect, plus I don’t have to worry as much about it being too short when I walk.
Also, while I only have the one — the embellished neckline trend is really growing on me. I love how it can take a simple white tank and transform it into something eye catching.
As written by the poet, Mark Strand, “the future is always beginning now.” So, go ahead, and chase your dreams, but don’t forget to blog about them as you go. I know I will be.
